The Stanford Undergraduate Research Association (SURA) was founded in 2014 to fulfill an unmet need at Stanford - a community for undergraduates to discuss, collaborate, and to learn more about research. With the quality and quantity of research conducted by undergraduate researchers everyday at Stanford, there had to be an organization that would be the premier resource for those interested in conducting research and for those that have been involved in research their entire undergraduate careers. SURA provides that forum between seniors and freshmen, PIs and students, and Stanford undergraduate researchers and their peers around the world. Offering research opportunities, mentorship relationships, workshops/faculty dinners centered on research topics, and an annual intercollegiate undergraduate research conference, SURA is the premier organization for students as well as researchers to engage with at Stanford.
